It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our cherished Father, Grandfather, Great-grandfather and Great-Great Grandfather Pa-pa as he was known, Leon Williams who left us on March 27, 2025 at the age of 89. Though our hearts ache, we take comfort in knowing he lived a life filled with love, laughter and unforgettable stories. Leon loved the adventure in life, from his cross-country truck driving to family vacations where all were “victims” of his pranks. From the “push” in the pool (even though you hadn’t learned to swim) to the scary stories he told us all just before bedtime! The playful “threats” of missing toes and making you the “spotter” for babes on the beach. Oh, how we will miss those mischievous grins it’s with those memories there will always be that special spot in our hearts forever. Leon could tell the most captivating tales, - whether real or little exaggerated- held us captive, transporting us to different times and places, teaching us lessons and filling our childhoods and into adulthood with wonder. If there was something to be done, he was sure to make it a point at get it done. He loved to just sit back and enjoy life, the outdoors with a cigar and smile.
Daddy, Pa-pa had a heart of gold. He loved deeply, gave selflessly, and made everyone he met feel special. His kindness, wisdom and unwavering love for his family will forever be his legacy.
His beloved wife, Georgia Ann Feuge Williams preceded him in death, son Edward Lee Williams, father Elbert Williams, mother Lucille Abbott, sister Mary Williams Black, Stepmother Jonell Williams and granddaughter Sherry Proctor.
He is survived by daughters, Debbie (Bobby) Proctor, Brenda (Rome)Johnson, brothers and abundant grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews and miles of friends he met along the way who will carry his spirit forward in every laugh shared and every story told. Though he may longer be with us in person, his love and lessons will live on in all of us.
Rest easy Daddy, Pa-pa
